The PSAT is an optional test administered by the College Board designed to give students practice for the SAT. The test also provides schools with valuable information about students’ potential for success in Advanced Placement (AP) coursework.  

Registration costs $21 and must be completed online. Students who are eligible for free or reduced meals may take the PSAT at no cost by selecting a waiver during the registration process. For the 2026-2027 school year, the PSAT will be administered during the school day in October. Each school will share specific testing dates with the school community once those dates are finalized.
